What does Copycell do?
It opens a spreadsheet (a CSV file) and lets you copy any cell with a single click. Copied cells stay highlighted, so you can work through a list, pasting into forms, emails or other apps, without losing your place.
Which Macs does it run on?
Any Mac running macOS 15.7 or later.
Can I open Excel or Numbers files?
Copycell opens CSV files, including ones separated by semicolons or tabs. In Excel or Numbers, choose File, then Export or Save As, and pick CSV.
Does Copycell change my original file?
Only when you edit a cell and save. Copying and marking cells never changes the data in your file, and Copycell remembers what you copied and marked separately.
How do I compare two files?
Open the first file, choose Compare, then click Files A/B and load the second. Cells that differ are highlighted, down to the exact characters.
Can I undo a rename?
Yes. Every rename in the Renamer can be undone with Edit, then Undo, or Command-Z.
Does Copycell collect my data?
No. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking, and the app has no access to the internet. Your files stay on your Mac.
